Copyright, License and Credits

The plant observation records upon which the Wildflower Search programs are based have been produced by the work of tens of thousands of people working over the last century. Most of these records are provided only for non-profit applications and many come with a creative commons license. The number of people involved is too large to mention each by name. But the links listed below identify the institutions.

The Plant Distribution Maps, the Elevation vs. Time of Observation Plots and the Habitat Graphs displayed in the Wildflower Search websites are copyrighted and licensed under this Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. This means that if you copy any of these objects you can only use them in NonCommercial applications. Further, you must give credit to me (Steven K. Sullivan) and to all of the sources listed below. You must follow all of the terms of the Creative Commons license.

Plant observation data has been collected from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). This information consists of records about Plantae, Fungi and Ochrophyta collected from many sources. The details of this information can be found by following the links in the following citations:
